On Hers’ weight-loss hub (2026-10-04), plan on two separate charges if you are prescribed medication. Membership is required for evaluation and medication purchase. Membership does not guarantee a prescription.

The membership bill

Medication is a separate charge. The full year-one cost depends on the prescribed medication and dose; it cannot be calculated from a starting-price offer.
What your medication adds

- Hers 25 mg maintenance-dose price: not publicly confirmed. A recurring combined total or 12-month medication total cannot be calculated from the advertised starting price.
Manufacturer reference, checked October 4, 2026: the NovoCare price guide lists $299 for 30 tablets of 25 mg Wegovy, subject to program eligibility and terms. This is a manufacturer self-pay reference, not a confirmed Hers charge, and is not added to Hers membership as a quoted total.
The $1,899 Zepbound card still appears alongside the lower starting-price vial and KwikPen cards on Hers’ page. Its presentation is not identified there. Confirm the product, dose, dispensing schedule and full medication charge before paying; the cards do not establish interchangeable offers.

Approved uses differ by medicine. Wegovy prescribing information, Zepbound prescribing information and Foundayo prescribing information include weight-management indications for adults with obesity, or overweight with a weight-related condition, alongside diet and physical activity. The Ozempic injection and Mounjaro labels include type 2 diabetes indications; using those products for weight loss is off-label.

Ozempic Pill uses the tablet label, not the injection label. Hers lists an Ozempic® Pill card. The 2026 FDA label for Ozempic tablets indicates oral semaglutide, with diet and exercise, to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes and to reduce the risk of major cardiovascular events in adults with type 2 diabetes who are at high risk for those events. That is not a weight-management indication. The same label says Ozempic tablets are not substitutable on a milligram basis with Rybelsus tablets or with Ozempic injection. The public Hers card checked October 4, 2026 does not state the tablet strength, so this review does not assign a dose to that card.

Is Hers Weight Loss Legit and FDA Approved?
Hers is an established telehealth service from Hims & Hers Health, Inc., but Hers itself is not an FDA-approved treatment. Its Hers weight-loss page describes access to licensed providers who decide whether to prescribe. FDA approval applies to specific medicines and indications, not the service or every treatment a clinician might offer.
Wegovy and Zepbound have labeled weight-management uses, as described above. Foundayo also has an approved adult weight-management indication, confirmed by the FDA’s April 1, 2026 approval announcement. Approval does not mean a medicine is appropriate for every patient or that every dose or use is approved.
In its March 9, 2026 announcement, Hims & Hers described a Novo Nordisk collaboration and a shift toward branded GLP-1 medicines, with compounded access limited to patients whose clinical needs require it. The current Hers page lists branded products. Compounded drugs are not FDA approved; an off-label prescription also differs from an approved use. Hers identifies its 4 mg microdosing maintenance plan as off-label.
What evidence supports Hers weight-loss medication?
Medication trials can support a prescribed regimen; they do not establish Hers service outcomes. In OASIS 4, 307 adults without diabetes received oral semaglutide 25 mg or placebo alongside lifestyle intervention. At week 64, published average weight change was −13.6% versus −2.2%; gastrointestinal events occurred in 74.0% versus 42.2%. Novo Nordisk funded this randomized, blinded trial. These are published trial averages, not Hers customer results or an individual forecast.
The microdosing plan is a different regimen
Hers’ microdosing page says its plan starts at 1.5 mg and stops at 4 mg. Hers identifies it as off-label and says lower doses are unstudied for weight loss and may be less effective. The Wegovy label specifies 25 mg daily as the oral maintenance dose. Starting at a low dose during escalation is different from staying on a lower maintenance dose. The 25 mg trial does not substantiate the same weight-loss result for the 4 mg plan.
Side effects and safety
Check the exact product, route and indication. Ozempic injection and Mounjaro have diabetes indications; prescribing them for weight loss is off-label. The Ozempic Pill card is covered by the tablet label in the medications section, not by the injection label. Sharing an active ingredient with a weight-management product does not make the labels interchangeable.
